Join us in supporting Pacific Project Heroes, a 100% volunteer-run 501(c)(3) providing direct assistance, outreach, and life-changing programs for veterans, first responders, and their families.
Join us in honoring our heroes. As a proud Pacific Project Heroes sponsor, you help expand our reach, fund vital programs, and support those who serve with courage and commitment.
Through fundraising events, we spotlight heroes and support organizations making a difference, while giving back through scholarships and other community programs.
Pacific Project Heroes, founded in 2010 to support a friend wounded in Iraq, is a volunteer-driven movement providing direct aid and community support to veterans, law enforcement, and firefighters. It also contributes to organizations with shared missions, including Rivers of Recovery, Wiley’s Wish, Operation Creekside, and the Peace Officer Memorial Run.

At Pacific Project Heroes, we are committed to serving those who serve our nation and communities — our military, law enforcement, and first responders. Through direct assistance, community outreach, and critical support programs, we aim to honor their sacrifices and stand beside them in times of need. We believe that supporting our heroes means supporting their families, their recovery, and their continued service.
Our purpose is to create long-term impact for those who serve and their families through strategic support, community connection, and volunteer-led action rooted in honor and gratitude.
Every cause we support is vital. Whether you choose to support veterans, first responders, scholarships, or our general fund, your gift makes a real difference. While we honor donor preferences whenever possible, flexibility allows us to respond to the most pressing needs.

Help combat veterans heal through science-based, outdoor therapy that strengthens mental health, builds resilience, and fosters connection with nature, community, and recovery.

Support veterans living with PTSD by providing trained service dogs that reduce anxiety, restore independence, and improve quality of life for those transitioning back to civilian life.

Honor veterans and support grieving families through faith-led outreach, care packages, and custom memorial benches that remember those lost to suicide and bring hope through Christ.

Honor fallen heroes with Wreaths Across America, a national movement that remembers, honors, and teaches by placing wreaths on veterans’ graves each December.
April Lester is a longtime Oakdale resident whose heart for helping others has touched the community for more than 30 years. Inspired by her mother’s belief that helping others was simply “something you did,” April has dedicated countless hours to supporting seniors, neighbors, Veterans, and First Responders. A devoted Pacific Project Heroes volunteer since the foundation’s early days, she’s always willing to roll up her sleeves — from helping build a wheelchair ramp for a local Veteran to lending a hand wherever it’s needed. April serves not for recognition, but for the joy of making someone’s life a little better. We’re proud to honor her as this year’s Citizen Spotlight.
